The Electronic Collaborative Educational Learning Laboratory (ECELL) is an Enrichment Summer School aimed at developing students' information age skills in a technology rich environment. Students will learn to use networks and information technologies, including the World Wide Web, to formulate questions, collaborate with others, conduct research, draw conclusions and to act on real-world issues/problems. Students will have an opportunity to work with the Department of Education's most innovative educators and the College of Education's Masters for Education in Teaching Program (MET).

Learn firsthand the production skills needed to create both live and edited video and multimedia projects. Plans call for the airing of at least 4 live broadcasts as well as many, many more exciting challenges.
 
  Please Note: This is an Enrichment Summer Program. Students are placed in multi-grade groups, collaborating with other students on campus and globally as active learners, selecting from a variety of "inquiry projects" to research, design, develop, and share.  
*Ma'ema'e School will provide financial and Administrative management for ECELL. The Electronic collaborative Educational Learning Laboratory (ECELL) is a collaborative effort of the Hawaii State Department of Education, the University of Hawaii's College of Education Master of Education in Teaching (MET) Program, and the Hawaii Education & Research Network (HERN), a demonstration project grant from the National Science Foundation's Networking Infrastructure for Education Program.
