Most HERN participants are part of a ProjecTeam which applied to the Institute with an idea for an network-based or network-supported educational project. ProjecTeams may be made up of educators from the same school or complex, or may be from different islands from different institutions altogether. The ProjecTeams are a key embodiment of the HERN philosophy: educators working collaboratively with electronic tools to use technology as a means to advance public education in Hawaii.
