Biographical Sketch of Carl Farrell
Mr. Carl Farrell is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Hawaii Pacific University. He has taught both undergraduate and graduate courses in computer science and information systems, and he has created and taught senior level software engineeri
ng courses that have involved students in the development of original software, including the design of user interfaces. In addition, he has been pursuing research interests related to intelligent tutoring systems.
Mr. Farrell has been a National Science Foundation fellow, Danforth Foundation fellow, Ford Foundation fellow, and NSF grantee. He holds a B.S. in mathematics, cum laude, from Florida State University, where he conducted honors research in both mathemat
ics and psychology. His M.S. in computer science from Stanford University, and he has also completed all coursework, examinations, and research requirements in the doctoral program in computer science at Stanford.
