The
Purpose
- To explore, investigate, and
learn about the community of Aiea.
- To visit places within Aiea
and gather information on its history and
significants.
- To reflect and identify those
things, people, events and places that make Aiea unique or
special.
- To take a stance on what in
Aiea is worth preserving and support that position with historical
facts and/or Hawaiian cultural legends.
- To report upon the history and
significants in oral and written forms.
- To propose an action plan to
save or preserve an Aiea site of their choice.
- To develop within the students
skills in oral and written communiction (writing, collaborating,
questioning, and interviewing).
- To integrate technology within
the project, documenting information and activities.
- To use technology as a venue
to share the discoveries about the history of Aiea.
