Problem

Do more people want to become a professional athlete than traditional occupation? We're doing this to see what our future generation want to be so teachers can relate it in their teaching.

Hypothesis

We think more people would want a normal job since they can keep it longer.

Statistics

We surveyed 35 people and 63% chose to have a traditional job. The other 37% chose to be athletes

Data /Observation

In some E-mail replies, some people answered correctly and gave one answer but there were a few times where some people gave two answers. This led to a lot of frustration because we had to reply back to the e-mailer to ask them which they preffered more. This problem could have been avoided if we wrote the question more clearly. 35 people answered our surveys. 63% said jobs. 37% said athlete.

Conclusion

As a result of our research, we have found our hypothesis to be correct! More people wanted to have a traditional job than be a athlete. Although some people chose both, we surveyed 35 people and 63% chose to have a traditional job. The other 37% chose to be athletes.

PROPOSAL

We feel that it is important for teachers to understand what students want to be when they grow up. Using this information, they can relate it to their teaching and interest the students in school.
