Requirements: 		TWELVE (12) WEEK summer course, from May 24 to Aug. 13, 2004 Students must have appropriate hardware, software, and internet access. Frames capable web browser, Java script enabled, and Java enabled. Netscape Navigator 4.7 or higher or Microsoft Explorer or Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher will work fine. Also required: A news reader program, an e-mail program, an Internet Service Provider, and an IBM PC compatible computer with a 486 processor or better running Windows 3.X or Windows 95 OR a Macintosh computer running System 7 with Mac PPP and Mac TCP, and a 28.8 kbps or higher modem.

Description: 		American political processes and institutions as seen through alternate interpretations. Emphasis on opportunities and limitations for practical political participation. May be taken on a CR/N basis. All work completed via distance education. No on-campus visits or meetings required.
